What are you doing for Thanksgiving? What has this year taught you? Taking it a little deeper, what has God KEPT you through this past year?
I think it’s been a rough year for everyone, and I know many families are struggling in these difficult times we are going through these days, but perhaps if each of us can stop for a moment and think of what we DO have to be thankful for, the ways God HAS come through for us, the little things, little blessings that so often go unnoticed, because we tend to let ourselves be stressed over what all is wrong. But as a Christian writer, I have tried to work on learning to focus more on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as the solution, the only One Who has the power to save and heal the brokenness so many are going through. Believe me, this has not been an easy lesson for me to learn. I have problems just like anyone else. But as a writer, I know now, the more I can help influence others through my work, the more I can make a difference. Together, we can all make a difference in the world around us. There’s always someone hurting or in need that we can help if we just look for them, just as Jesus did when He walked here on earth. Here is a post I did a couple of years ago on reaching out to those who are hurting during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
So, I entered this week’s Indies Unlimited Flash Fiction Challenge, and I need your vote! The poll is open until Thursday at 5 PM Pacific time. Click here to read this week’s stories, and again, we have a 250 word limit, so it will only take a minute or two to read it. My story is the 4th one down:
Of course, I didn’t want to just ask for your vote without including a little something here for you as well, and taking a moment to say, thank you, to each and every one of you who have subscribed to my humble little blog/website here, who have supported me and taken the time to believe in me, just as I believe in you! It is for you, my readers, that I keep writing. So, take a moment and read that post I gave the link for above, and go make a difference in your world this Thanksgiving and Christmas. It will not go unrewarded. His Word promises us that. So, once again, thank you, and here’s hoping you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!!!
